*FEATURED What do you love about your job? I truly love this career opportunity because I get to help people who are going through a difficult time. Many couples are sad about getting a divorce and by the time they leave my office, they are smiling and grateful. Essentially, what I do is fill out all the paperwork and file it for them. This is a tricky and time-consuming process. Folks are allowed to file in their own behalf in Nevada; however, it requires hours or even days of training to be able to do it. That's where I come in. Plus, I save them hundreds or even thousands of dollars over the standard attorney's fees. So all in all, I help people by saving them time, money, and aggravation. It’s a win-win thing. What or who inspired you to start your own business? To be honest, when I was in undergrad school at the University of Arizona many moons ago, I planned on following up with law school. However, by the time I graduated, I was tired of going to school, so I became a businessman. Over the past decade, I met several family law attorneys and became interested in this field. However, going back to school full-time for 3 years was definitely off the table. So, I took a few online paralegal courses, studied how to fill out the forms, and ran this type of business with the president of the Nevada Paralegal Association. I set up the shop in 1996. Since then, I have become a registered and bonded legal document preparer. In essence, I have fulfilled a dream of mine while providing a valuable service to the community.
